Jesus described his advancing kingdom as yeast spreading through a large lump of dough (Matthew 13:33), implying it would influence everything within which it comes into contact. Jesus described this influence when he said that he came to open the eyes of the blind and to free the captives and the oppressed (Luke 4:18). He also described this influence when he taught his disciples to pray for God’s Kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10), and God’s rule in heaven is all encompassing. In summary, Jesus directed his followers to work toward seeing His character and His Kingdom revealed in every sphere of society.

The extent to which the church will accomplish this directive is an issue of much dispute in the Christian community. Churches’ opinions are influenced by their view of the application of the Old Testament today, their view of the end of the world (eschatology), and their experience.

What are your thoughts on cultural transformation, and what steps do you think Biblical Worldview Ambassadors should be taking to be the “salt” and “light” Christ claimed His people would be?

Culture Transformation
I think that we have been having it all backwards. To much attention on the buildings and personal visions have been too important. A lot of waste on self interest than in building the Kingdom of God.

The fruit of our labor has produced a people who are afraid to engage outside of the four-walls. Our false security systems have not prepared nor equipped saint to be light where its really needed. There will be no transformation without repentance from our old ways of doing things for God rather than with God.
